FRANKIE LEEKS - 2020 REEL
2020, another year of specialized 2D and 3D animation and motion graphics. I produce animated videos through motion graphics to transform complex ideas and processes into dynamic animated videos designed to connect with the target audience.
BiGCLAN
Berlin International Gaming are a world-class esport organization founded and based in Berlin, Germany. There professional teams and players compete in the most prestigious leagues worldwide. They approached me back in February asking if I'd be interested in creating there new animated intro that they'd be using across all of their social medias. (Especially Youtube and Twitter). For this project I used Illustrator and After Effects.
READY UP
I created this project back in early 2018 soon after graduating university in VFX. I decided that I wanted create a piece of work that would be completely made by me. From the 3D modelling, lighting and rendering rendering to the compositing and grading. I decided to go with an arcade cabinet as I wanted this project to represent the kind of work that I enjoyed looking at the time which was this futuristic, gamer thing. Very much READY PLAYER ONE aesthetics, whilst also relating it to my online name. Modelling: Maya Texturing and Rendering: Arnold Post: Nuke & AE
SWOOSH & SLUMBER
here's a collection of animated GIFs that I worked on with the very talented Illustrator DefacedStudio. The focus of these designs being around Nike and finding ways to implement the brand whilst staying outside of the brand guidelines. All of the work here has been designed in Illustrator and animated in Photoshop and After Effects.
FAZECLAN
FaZe Clan are one of the most popular esports organization in the world and around 2 months ago they announced that they'd be hosting #FAZE5 where they look for new talented individuals to be a part of the organization. As this was happening I decided to make a fast pace animation based around there teams logo to celebrate the challenge. The original use of this animation was going to be for Valorant as you can see by the colour palette and the knife throwing that represents a character in the game(Jett). After a few months of the project being put on hold I decided to jump back onto the project and change up the animation to try and base it around the celebration of FAZE5.
PLAYBACK.GG
A world-class creative production agency focusing on aiding content creators & corporate clients with production needs. Specializing in videography, editing, designing, content managing, search engine optimization & KPI analytics. I'm very close friends with the founder of Playback so I approached the company asking if they'd be interested in an animated intro for their company site. After a few hours of concepts I came up with the idea of focusing the animation around "an explosion" to represent the explosion of amazing ideas that Playback bring to their clients whilst complimenting it with varies shapes to work with the play button in the middle of the logo.
PAYHIP
Payhip (an e-commerce platform) hosted a 2 week motion design contest back in March where they asked their users and the creative market to create a video to promote their brand (10 seconds minimum) for a cash prize that'd be split between 3 winners. For this project I used Illustrator and After Effects and I selected a colourful palette that complemented the brand and creatives that use their services to provide work to their clients.
